EPLAN Cabinet

Enclosure design made easy

Surpass high productivity and quality goals in the design and manufacturing of enclosure systems with the modular and flexible EPLAN Cabinet.  EPLAN Cabinet allows you to layout complete electrical enclosures with cable ducts, mounting rails, devices and accessories onto mounting plates, pivoting frames, doors and sides with great ease and speed—all while displaying the results in 2D and 3D environments.

Position cable ducts, support rails, terminals, and contacts at a click of the mouse.  EPLAN Cabinet automates tasks such as optimal wire routing, calculation of shortest wire lengths and paths, controlling of cable duct fill levels and more to save you valuable production time and cost.

Online collision control, minimum clearance allowance and locked area definition functionalities ensure that your panel doors will always close.  Furthermore,3D views further help to avoid collisions and ensure you have accounted for component clearances.

Once components are placed in the enclosure, EPLAN Cabinet calculates drill holes data to automatically generate drilling templates for manual operation, or for more modern processes, supply NC data directly to manufacturing.  The result is enclosure parts accurately prepared for mounting in dramatically shorter times.  EPLAN Cabinet provides convenient interfaces such as DXF, DWG, SAT and STEP, as well as PDF and VRML output capability to simplify downstream workflows.

Direct access to Rittal’s accessories catalog—RiCAD 3D—ensures accuracy and efficiency both in the design and manufacturing of enclosures.

EPLAN Cabinet is available as an add-on module to the EPLAN Electric P8 or as a standalone product.  Direct access to bill of materials and wire connection data from EPLAN Electric P8 ensures your enclosures are built precisely per the electrical designs and no device gets overlooked.
